Training from Tilsley Park on Monday 9 May : basically, 800m or 1km intervals on Copenhagen Drive.
Those who have an important 10k race later in the week should come with an idea of what their target time is, and therefore what their target time for 1km and for 100m is; and (if you have one) a watch on which you can check intermediate times for your intervals. The session will be an opportunity to practise hitting your target pace. For others, e.g. new starters and people who raced over the weekend, there will be a different session.

Racing at the weekend : some of us will be in France and everyone’s best wishes go with them. For those staying at home, there are no races – most counties have their county championship races this weekend, though Oxfordshire’s will be in June.
