“The day is 10.30 – 4.30 (latest) with lunch. The morning is technical walking sessions with mini races followed by lunch. afternoon is going to be seminars, Q&A sessions using video technology and coaches giving feedback. For anyone wanting to take part in the officials taster sessions same times but it will focus on giving basic advice and support for recording, timekeeping and judging.”
It’s not often we get the National Coach available for a day within an hour and a half’s drive, but of course it has to be the same day as the Abingdon Marathon. Nevertheless recommended for anyone not officiating.

My guess would be, that the ‘Athletic Movement Skills’ piece will build on the jumping / hopping exercises that we were doing over the summer.
Some of us will remember going to Andi’s things before. If anyone else wants to go, let me know and I will do the phone call.
I’ve had an invitation from Verity Snook, the racewalk coach at Aldershot, Farnham and District AC, for us to join their Sunday morning training sessions any time that suits us. They meet at the Rushmoor Arena in Aldershot which is about 1h 20m drive from Oxford (and obviously a bit less from Abingdon or Newbury). They meet at 10 am for about 2 hours. Who wants to suggest a date ?
