Wednesday 23 July : threshold session on laps of the estate.

Don’t forget to come at 6:30 for warmup and drills if you can make it. Easy sessions also available.

Inter-Counties Track and Field Match, Mile End, Sunday 13 July

We now have more details of this. The match involves Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Essex, but not Berkshire. There is a 3000m walk event at 11:30 am and each county can have up to 3 walkers for each sex, so it should be pretty much possible for anyone who wants to, to race. The event venue is the Mile End stadium in east London.

There is no publicity for this on the internet, so anyone interested should contact the Team Manager for their county (or in the case of Oxfordshire, me). When we know who is going, we can sort out transport, County vests, etc.

Week Commencing 7 July

Well done to everyone at last week’s Masters League – two races again, and Naomi finishing 4th in her first 2k !

Training on Monday 7 July : 10k-ish again, done steady or as a fartlek

Wednesday 9 July : threshold session on laps of the estate.

Don’t forget to come at 6:30 for warmup and drills if you can make it. Easy sessions also available.

Racing at the weekend : probably, two options on Sunday : the BMAF and Midland Area 30k Championships at Coventry, at 11:30; and there are rumours of a Southern Inter-Counties Track and Field event, including a walk, at Mile End in London.

Weekend training : We should do a session if not racing. Anyone want to suggest anything ?
