Suggested training this week : Monday 30 March : 10k-ish, easy or as a fartlek.

Wednesday 1st : tempo session on laps of the estate.

Don’t forget to come at 6:30 for warmup and drills if you can make it.

Racing at the weekend : None, since the National 10 miles at Lee Valley on Saturday has been CANCELLED due to lack of entries.

I’m unlikley to be there for Monday’s session and may not be there for Wednesday’s either.

Suggested training this week : Monday 23 March : 10k-ish, easy or as a fartlek.

Wednesday 25th : tempo session on laps of the estate.

Don’t forget to come at 6:30 for warmup and drills if you can make it.

Racing at the weekend : none this weekend, within a reasonable travelling distance. No doubt due to the alternative attractions of the European Masters Indoor T&F Championships in Poland this week, so best wishes to all our friends competing there.

Owing to a dose of the man-flu, I won’t be there for Monday’s session and may not be there for Wednesday’s either.

Suggested training this week : Monday 16 March : 10k-ish, easy or as a fartlek.

Wednesday 18th : tempo session on laps of the estate.

Don’t forget to come at 6:30 for warmup and drills if you can make it.

Racing at the weekend : on Saturday, a 5 mile race in the Enfield League, at the Donkey Lane site, starting at 1 pm. Shorter distances also available. On Sunday there’s the Mark Cawte Memorial meeting in Swindon, with a 2000m walk in the provisional timetable for 1:45 pm.

Tom, Jo, Jonathan H, Heather, Callum, Guy, Emma and Cameron all race tomorrow, along with George Wilkinson and Laura Achurch racing with big brother and sister respectively. Probably a few others too. Big race favourites will be new 20k mens’ record holder Yohann Diniz and the incredible talent Anezka Drahotova. Live coverage is promised here from 7:15 in the morning, with the action reportedly staring at 8:30. You have to give an email address and select a few interests apart from the race.
