As we all know, training and hard work do nothing to improve your athletic abilities – they just tire you out. What improves your capacity and abilities is the RECOVERY process that your body goes through AFTER training.

Post-race or post-training cooldown – here is exellent advice from Runner’s World Australia on how to cool down and start the recovery process after a race or a session, if you have a bit  more time than most of us, and a bit more facilities than most of us (e.g. two baths, or a sports masseur on demand). Not too difficult to adapt to something a bit more practical for most of us.
