“Runner’s World Exclusive – Mo Farah’s Strength Workout” from the June 2013 issue. Nothing wrong with these exercises for racewalkers either. Some of these have been demonstrated to the group. As ever with exercises in magazine articles, they aren’t fully described, and when you’re learning them you ideally want someone to stand over you and spot things that may be going wrong.

“Rehab the right way” – from Runner’s World, January 2014 – how to avoid common mistakes in basic strengthening exercises for the gluteus medius – clamshells, planks, single leg squats, straight leg raises, lunges – when doing them on your own. A very important muscle for walkers too.
