Training this week : suggested sessions are :

Monday 24 November : 10k-ish again, done steady or as a fartlek

Wednesday 26th : threshold session on laps of the estate.

Don’t forget to come at 6:30 for warmup and drills if you can make it. Easy sessions also available. Light or flourescent clothing, remember !

Racing at the weekend : On Saturday at Hillingdon, at 1pm, the Enfield League 10k combined witht the BMAF 20k championship race. Details in the latest Enfield Walker. Today, Monday, is the closing date for the BMAF race !

Ian’s comment : “Here’s something we did at a track racewalk to help our new racewalkers: We placed a reminder board at the 200M mark to encourage them to go through a mental check list for correct racewalking form. You may not agree with the points we chose to mention (they were selected based on the errors we knew were most likely in this group) but we got very positive feedback. All our first time racers got through with only one red card between them.

Training at the weekend : autumn distance training :  16.5 kilometres? Anyone want to suggest a time and place ?

Racing at the weekend : Nothing anywhere close.

Training at the weekend : autumn distance training : after 3 weeks of increases, time to ease off to about 15 kilometres. Probably on Friday.
