An Exercise Gazetteer

A work in progress !

To make the best of ourselves in competition, in training, even in life ! – we need to more than just race walking. We often need to address specific problems in terms of strength and/or flexibility, or problems with specific body parts e.g. joints or muscles, with supplementary ‘preparatory’ exercises as well as the ‘competitive’ exercise – i.e. race walking itself.

This page, which will develop over time – possibly a long period of time – will provide directions to a compendium of such exercises.

There is no guarantee that every exercise will suit every racewalker – you should consult your coach if you’re in any doubt as to whether an exercise is good for you.

Follow the links below, either by type of exercise, or by body part, to find the exercise you need.
